Welcome to my website. I’m Vic Schermer, a psychologist “for all seasons.” By that, I mean that I offer a diversity of psychological services based on over three decades of providing counseling, psychotherapy, evaluations, teaching, and training on a variety of mental health and substance abuse issues, disorders, and subject matter.
I have a special background and interests in psychological trauma, drug and alcohol abuse, ethnic conflict and diversity, psychoanalytic psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, management of anxiety and depression, psycho-spirituality, object relations theory, and self psychology. In addition to my work as a psychotherapist and clinical supervisor, I frequently do consults and training for businesses, organizations, educational institutions, and the community.
Please enjoy your visit to my website. I hope you will find it a useful resource as well as a helpful introduction to my work. You can learn more about my background, qualifications, services, and publications in my biography. Also included on the site are listings of my books, articles, and presentations. In addition, there are self-study questions for evaluating relationships and managerial care of employees. All these are accessible through the Navigation Bar at the top of each page.
